Abstract

A system and a method for representing images and videos as well as a module and a control device therefor are described. A control device (50) includes a transmitter (52) for transmitting remote control commands as modulated optical signals (14) as well as a number of modules (20), each of which has at least one light source (30) and a reception unit (26) for the remote control commands. The modules (20) are designed such that the light source (30) is triggered in accordance with the received remote control commands. In order to improve the known system and the modules therein, the transmitter (52) includes a projector unit (62) which transmits the optical signals in such a directed manner that modules (20) receive differently modulated optical signals (14) in different positions.
