Abstract
An adjustable optical filtering device comprising: a magnetostrictive module (203, 204), a filtering module (202), and a magnetic field provision module (201). The magnetostrictive module (203, 204) and the filtering module (202) adhere one to the other, and the magnetic field provided by the magnetic field provision module (201) acts on the magnetostrictive module (203, 204). By changing the area or volume of the magnetostrictive module (203, 204) under the effect of the magnetic field, the magnetostrictive module (203, 204) undergoes deformation. The filtering module (202) changes its own length according to the deformation of the magnetostrictive module (203, 204), thereby changing the cycle size of the filtering module (202). Also provided is a method for adjustable optical filtering.
