Abstract
A machine for compressing gas includes a cylinder at a depth below the surface of the sea, the cylinder having a closed at the top and an open bottom, opened at the bottom, storing gas in a tank above sea level, the tank being filled with water and including a turbine coupled to the tank, the turbine generating electricity to power a water electrolysis machine disposed in the cylinder, the water electrolysis machine being configured to split water molecules into diatomic oxygen and hydrogen.
