Abstract
A fitness training device for executing a squat exercises that comprises a fixed rail and a moving frame. The moving fame includes two or more of horizontal rollers, one or more of connection rods, one or more arms and several sliding means. The horizontal rollers are connected together in parallel one above the other by the connection rod. The sliding means are connected to the ends of the arms. The sliding means are aimed to be integrated with the fixed rail in order to connect the moving frame with the fixed rail in order to enable a relative movement of the moving frame to the fixed rail.
Description
Fitness Training Device for Practicing Squat Knees
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention refers to a fitness training device. BACKGROUND ART
Many users perform physical fitness exercise to strengthen the muscles of the front and back thighs and buttock muscles, and one of the most popular exercises is knee bending (squat) exercises using stabilizer ball against the wall. In this exercise, the user leans back on a rubber ball pressed against the wall, so the ball is trapped between the wall and the back of the user. The user bends his knees while his feet remain on their place and he straightens his knees and bent them, and so, whiles his back goes up and down with the ball, relatively to the floor and wall. The role of the ball is to serve as a backrest for the user and enable the back to go up and down relative to the wall. The problem in carrying out this exercise lies, inter alia, that there is a danger that the ball would slip out and the user may falls back against the wall. In addition, and even without slipping out of the ball, the user focuses his mind and activates some muscle to prevent the ball of slipping out, which undermine the effective exercise and workout experience. Likewise, users often perform this exercise without support to their back, thus affecting their performance and exercise can trigger unnecessary load on the back muscles.
The present invention is aimed to provide a device for making the above exercise while overcoming the problems described above.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The intention of the drawings attached to the application is not to limit the scope of the invention and its application. The drawings are intended only to illustrate the invention and they constitute only one of its many possible implementations.
FIG. 1 describes in general the fitness training device (1) that includes fixed rails (2) and a moving frame (3).
FIG. 2 describes the fitness training device (1) in use by a user (100). THE INVENTION
The main objective of the present invention is to provide a fitness training device (1) to perform knee bending exercises, intended primarily to strengthen the thigh and buttock muscles.
The fitness training device (1) is generally described in Figure 1 and includes of a fixed rail (2) and a moving frame (3). The fixed rail (2) is designed to be fixed to the wall, floor or to a base (4), in purpose that the device (1) will be stable during use and in general.
The moving frame (2) comprises of two horizontal rollers (5) or more, one connection rod (6) or more, several arms (7) and sliding means (8). The horizontal rollers (5) are connected together in parallel one above the other by the connection rod (6). In Figure 1, the moving frame (3) includes three horizontal rollers (5) and a pair of connection rods (6) connecting together said horizontal rollers (5). Also, as described in Figure 1, the moving frame (2) comprises four arms (7) that each of their ends includes a sliding means (8). The sliding means (8) is designed to be integrated on or in the fixed rail (2) in order to connect the moving frame (3) to the rail (2) and to allow movement of the moving frame (3) relatively to the fixed rail (2). It is possible that the fixed rail (2) may include a longitudinal slot (21) in which the sliding means (8) will be incorporated on it or inside it, so that said sliding means (8) can move up and down, along with all the moving frame (2). A variety of means can be used as a sliding means (8), for example: rollers, balls, wrapped rings, slipping rings, and so-forth. The sliding means (8) can be connected at the end of the arms (7) so that they will be combined inside or on the fixed rail (2), for example inside the longitudinal slot (21), and so-forth. In case that wheels or sliding rings are used as the sliding means (8), then they can be combined, for example, inside a slot of the fixed rail (2). In the case that an embracing ring is used as the sliding means (8), then said ring can embrace the fixed rail (2) or a rod that can be a part of said fixed rail, so the embracing ring can slide up and down on said rod. It is possible that wheels will be used as the sliding means (8) which will simply slides on the outside wall of the rail.
The way of using the device (1) is described in general in Figure 2. The user (100) stands near and parallel to the device (1) with his back to the device (1). The user (100) holds the moving frame (3) and lift it up to the point where the bottom of his buttocks lightly lean on the roll (5) the lower, back horizontal lower back clock lightly on the bottom horizontal roll (5), the horizontal dent of the lower back is lightly lean on the bottom side of the second horizontal roll (5), and shoulders lean on the top horizontal roll (5). During the exercise, the feet of the user are firmly stand on the floor and he almost does not exert power toward the device (1) so that the user can lower his knees and stretch them while he lightly lean on the moving frame (3) and causes it to slide up and down along the fixed rail (2). In this way, the user (100) performs the exercise on the device (1) without having the problems involved in carrying out the above exercise using rubber ball pressed against the wall.
The horizontal rollers (5): The main purpose of the present invention is to provide the fitness training device (1) that enables the user to execute the squats without having to spend much physical effort operation the device itself, and to enable the user to concentrate on the act of bending and stretching his knees. For this end, the device (1) includes horizontal rollers (5). It is preferably that the device (1) will include three horizontal rollers (5), as described for example in the Figures.
In this way, the horizontal dent of the lower back leans on one horizontal roller (5), the shoulders on the top horizontal roller (5), and by that the moving frame (3) is pushed up by the force of the buttocks and shoulders that go upward while the user straightens his legs, and this without the need to spend efforts to tighten up his back to the wall (horizontal force vector) for rising the moving frame (3). The horizontal rollers (5) are designed to serve said purpose, which aimed to enable the user to perform the exercise easily and to enable him to focus on the operation of his legs and not on pushing his back against the wall when he straight his legs.
The horizontal rollers (5) can be 50 centimeters length, more or less, in order to match the width of the back of an average user. The distance between each roller to nearby roller can be around 40 - 50 cm, more or less, in order to fit the body of an average user, as explained in the paragraph which discusses how to use the device (1). In addition, it is desirable and possible that the horizontal rollers (5) shall be padded to have the user convenient to lean on them. The arms (7) can protrude from the connection rods (6) several centimeters in length and to their ends the sliding means (8) can be connected.
