Description

Information Acquisition Mobile Terminal
Technical field:
The present invention relates to an information acquisition mobile terminal used in the field of information acquisition.
Background art:
The following discussion of the background of the invention is intended to facilitate an understanding of the present invention. However, it should be appreciated that the discussion is not an acknowledgement or admission that any of the material referred to was published, known or part of the common general knowledge of the person skilled in the art in any jurisdiction as at the date of the application.
Modern identity cards issued in most countries take the form of a smart card which is embedded with an integrated circuit or 'chip' that stores and processes data such as an individual's name, gender, nationality, birth date, home address, identity card number, issuing authority, identity card expiry date, personal photograph and fingerprint information. In China, since the second-generation resident identity card (referred to as a second-generation ID card) was introduced and issued in six pilot cities such as Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing from 2005, it is now widely used in every part of China. The second- generation ID card takes the form of contactless IC (integrated circuit) card and resolves a lot of insurmountable problems such as low memory space, easy counterfeiting and duplication, difficulty of identifying existing problems in the first-generation ID card etc..
When institutions such as banks, hotels, airports, and railway stations provide services to customers, a simple identity card acquisition device is generally used to acquire identity card information about a customer or the information is manually acquired by staff personnel during the registration process. Such manual copying is tedious and it is difficult to determine authenticity which frequently brings about incidents. In addition, due to poor handwriting in data recording, the information acquired is difficult to decipher, and when some problems occur and need to be investigated, it will take a lot of time and labour to go through paper documents. Further, before acquiring the identity card information, whether the person identified in the identity card is identical to the customer himself/herself is generally identified by visual scanning or inspection by the human eye, and after this is confirmed, acquisition is then carried out. In some cases, for example, a criminal may disguise as or impersonate the person identified in the identity card and may successfully deceive immigration. In addition, as a person ages, his/her appearance will change and will not be similar to the photograph of the person identified on the identity card, thereby making it hard to tell whether the person identified on the identity card corresponds to the physical person by visual identification or inspection by the human eye. While a simple identity card acquisition device can be used to acquire identity card information and alleviate the disadvantages of identifying whether the identity card is identical to the customer himself/herself by means of visual detection or inspection by the human eye, such a simple identity card acquisition device needs to be connected to a computer to operate, making it inconvenient to be moved and thereby causing usage operations to be relatively troublesome.
The present invention attempts to overcome at least in part some of the aforementioned disadvantages.
