Abstract

The technical field of invention is human needs subfield health and sanitation The problem of all routine dental saliva ejectors is that their tip often stick the mucosa and there vacuum completely shuts off when it merges inside the patients mouth tissue following sucking the tissue inside and causes an irritating laceration or minor discomfort for patient in contact. In addition the loop which is formed by user hand and fingers may undo and drop out of the mouth during the dental work. Also reforming the tube by user's hands may make a blockage in the tube. Previous kinds of saliva ejectors are short and not long enough to let the nozzle (7) - which is not usually clean - position far away from patients face. All these problems are solved ideally in invented saliva ejector. The new design has inherent default loop which can be changed to any other form if user wish but not by itself. The problem of blockage and cheek laceration due to prior art is solved forever. Generally the new design is user & patient friendly, has more efficient socking capability, less noise and more aesthetic. Its applied to transfer of fluids out of mouth during dental procedures by means of a hygienic way.

Description

Description
Title of invention :
Preformed Disposable Dental Saliva Ejector Technical field :
0001 This invention is related to human needs subfield health and sanitation Background art :
0002 Previous designs of disposable dental saliva ejector have mostly straight bendable tube (8) with a piece of metal wire embedded in it's wall and should be bend by user ( mainly dentists) into desired form prior to usage and some other types has been made in non-reformable , nonfunctional constant shape .
0003 Some of the previous brands has some facilities to prevent uncurling the loop ( formed by user ) and blockage of the tip (10) as they claim that they have used more strength wire along the tube (8) to reinforce the tube and also they have made several vents between inner surface of the tip and outer surface of the tube to avoid sticking the tip on tissue but still there are serious problem in that case in practice . In addition previous kinds need to be bend by user and significantly their grooves (9) are insufficient because the tip often merges into the mouth tissue shutting the stream . The later defect is cited in prior related invention applications and there are some other evidences available showing these defects .
Summary of Invention:
Technical problem :
0004 The present problem in common saliva ejectors is that they have mostly a small , conical tip (10) and insufficient grooves (9) ( Figure 10 ) which often merges into and sticks to inner surface of the mouth and the out stream of fluid shuts . 0005 Also its impression on inner surface of the cheek makes irritating laceration on the site and minor discomfort for patient because of smallness and relatively sharpness of the tip (10) intensified by sucking effect on tissue .
0006 Also their loop opens gradually and they may drop out of the mouth during dental work .In addition formation of the loop by user hand may cause undesirable fold and following partial or complete blockage of outflow . Short length of previous kinds is another defect that makes the receiver nozzle of dental unit (7) (receiving the discharge end of tube (5)) which may not be clean, lie on patients face (Figure 11).
0007 Aforementioned defects are completely solved in the invented design.
Solution to Problem:
0008 Production of saliva ejector with built-in loop with proper solid material , solves the problem of unwanted opening of the loop . Also the blockage of duct on bending never happens at all.
0009 Although the default loop of tube (3)(Figure 4) is the most common shape that dentists form their saliva ejectors, the consolidation of tube material allows user to change the default form to any other desired form in some specific instances .
0010 On the other hand by designing the tip (2) in the elliptical-spherical shape and improving its grooves (6) long and wide , the problem of sticking to cheek , lacerating the cheek and blockage of out stream is solved for ever , whilst the suction task is done well and the size of the whole device remains proportionate. Advantageous Effects of Invention:
0011 1. Sticking on tissue and consequent blockage of stream never happens
0012 2. No need to be formed by user ( It is preformed in default loop )
0013 3. The loop never uncurl during dental work
0014 4. The tube is Reformable only by user's wish
0015 5. Fold on bending never happens
0016 6. Long enough to let the nozzle lie far away from patient's face so it has higher hygienic capacity
0017 7. patient friendly with ergonomic design to avoid irritation in patients mouth
0018 8 .User friendly because of ease of use for dentist and no need to bend
0019 9. Considerable improved efficiency of sucking capability
0020 10. Less noise
0021 11. More aesthetic
0022 12. More economic due to saving metal wire

Description of Embodiments
0034 The device contains two parts : Preformed Tube (Figure 4) and Tip (Figures 5-7)
0035 The general form of the tube is designed like question Mark (?) as default (Figure 4) .Its responsible for conducting fluids out of the mouth.
0036 The outer diameter of tube is 6.5 mm made of food grade material with two inherent consecutive curves (3-4) so that the outcome is a question mark shape (the most common shape which is used by dentists ) . It's designed to retract cheek to enhance access , view and
illumination of the mouth beside it's main function There is an approximately 210° inward curve (3) at the beginning of the tube , which turns the path of said tube out of the mouth and next 150° outward curve (4) following the first one, which is made to position the previous part of the loop outward and is responsible for retracting the cheek and providing better access ,view and illumination for dentist. The outcome of these said curves is 180° directing the discharge end (5) downward , lying gently down the patient face in practice (Figure 4 ). 0037 The consolidation of rigid and flexible material makes it reformable by hand pressure . For instance a good composition such as %30 of polypropylene and %70 polyethylene may give the right rigidity grade for product .
0038 There is no metal wire inside the tube.
0039 The tip is elliptical-spherical shaped (2) , 18 mm long , with 10.5mm maximum diameter , with six peripheral grooves (6) , along its long axis which are llmm long and 2mm wide .The tip is responsible for maintaining openness of sucking end of tube (11) for constant stream of fluids .It has an internal duct for installation of tube and terminal constriction to stop the tube insert more into duct and block the stream (Figures 5-9 ) .
0040 Tip is attached to the tube permanently to prevent being aspirated by patient accidentally .
0041 The invention consists any other size of tube and tip with similar shape and property . Also the invention consists any kind of material with any composition and rigidity /flexibility which satisfies aforementioned properties of the article .
Industrial Applicability
0042 The saliva ejector is used in dentistry for hygienic transfer of fluids out of patients mouth in various dental procedures such as Filling , Tooth Preparation , Root Canal Therapy and thorough Rinsing of the mouth which are done with copious amounts of water .
