HISTORY

In 1972, James H. Williams formed Jim Williams Builders (“JWB”), a small business focusing on residential additions and new construction in southern New Jersey. JWB developed a reputation for quality home construction by employing skilled craftsman and successfully completing all contracts in a timely and professional manner.

In the mid 1980s, after building more than one hundred new homes and countless home additions and renovations, JWB expanded into commercial construction. By transferring the quality of craftsmanship required in residential construction to commercial construction, JWB expanded its reputation for quality work product. Until the early 1990s, JWBs commercial portfolio included renovations to and new construction of professional office space, restaurants and banks performed under private contracts.

In the early 1990s, expanded into public sector construction projects. JWB successfully administered numerous office renovation and new construction projects for state, county and local government bodies. By maintaining the same core team, JWB was able to transfer its quality work to the public sector. JWB maintained its customer satisfaction by supplementing the quality craftsmanship developed in residential construction with a customer focused project management approach enabled by a detailed estimating process that foresaw potential project pitfalls prior bid submission.

In 2001, JWB reformed as J.H. Williams Enterprises, Inc., a corporation under the laws of New Jersey. Despite a real estate and construction boom and bust, JHWE continued to expand throughout the decade by adding to its portfolio significant school and hospital renovation projects.

Today JHWE offers a full range of construction and real estate services, including new construction and renovations to commercial buildings and residential homes, construction management, medical construction, real estate transactions and real property legal counseling.
