Rev. Robert Marino, Franklinville, Catholic Priest
Of Plymouth Ave. died Monday (Jan. 16, 2017) at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo following a long illness. Born Nov. 28, 1955 in Camden, NJ he was the son of Angelo and Rose Auletto Marino.
Rev. Marino received degrees from Syracuse University, Houghton College, and a Master in Divinity from Christ the King Seminary in East Aurora, NY. Father Marino was the current pastor at St. Philomena R.C. Church in Franklinville and has served the Lord prior at St. Gabriel in Elma, St. Philip the Apostle in Cheektowaga and was a deacon at St. Christopher in Tonawanda. Rev. Marino was instrumental in bringing the Catholic Charities outreach center to Franklinville and it's food pantry.
Surviving besides his mother of Hamburg, NY, is a sister Donna Marie Marino-Vinci of Palm Bay FL. and a nephew Marco Vinci of Palm Bay, FL.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Philomena's R. C. Church on Tuesday (Jan. 24, 2017) at 1 pm. Concelebrants will be Rev. Rico Passero and Rev. David Tourville. Entombment to be in Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ. Memorials may be made to the Catholic Charities Food Pantry in Franklinville. Floral arrangements are greatly appreciated.
