About Us
Limantepe Winery was established in 2011, when its owners first planted their 1.7 hectar vineyard in Kavacık. In 2013, it increased total area of vineyards acquiring the grounds near Central Urla, the future location of their winery. The company name Limantepe, is the name of the section of town near the seaport of Urla, which dates back to 4000 B.C. and is one of the most important ports of olive oil and wine. The owners, Didem and Haluk Çelikel, were attracted to wine making and viticulture earlier than 2011. Especially while living in Istanbul reading an article of Urlice and visiting them inspired Didem and Haluk a lot. Also the efforts and open allocation of know how sharing of Urla Sarapçlılık helped them solidify their dreams. Now at the state of establishing new vineyards, Limantepe winery will complete its production facilities within 2021.
