INSTALLTION ERROR: Trex using Napatech_NIC "NT40E3-4-PTP Network Adapter 4x10Gb"

Hello,

Trex version V2.89

I am trying to build cisco traffic generator (Trex) using NT40E3-4-PTP Network Adapter 4x10Gb. but i am getting the error "ERROR in DPDK map" & " Could not find requested interface 11:00.0/0"

The output of this command "./b configure --no-mlx=NO_MLX --with-ntacc" is as follow,

As per the technical support team of Napatech in the above output i should have the line "Checking for NTAPI: Found needed NTAPI library".

If anyone faced the same problem and found the solution for this please let me know also i am stuck here from last 15 days.

Hi Umair,

Every DPDK library upgrade, napatech dpdk driver is commented out because it is not backward compatible with the new API.

I would ask the napatech maintainer to fix it and re-enable it in the latest master branch.

Hello Hanoch,

Napatech driver has been upgraded to DPDK version 21.05 recently. Now will Trex V2.89 support Napatech Adapters ?

Hi, no there wasn't a PR to fix the build issues. You need to ask Napatech driver guys to build and test it. then they can send a PR with the fix
