University of Newcastle's Healthtech Hackathon
University of Newcastle, in collaboration with Laughing Mind, hosted 2017's 24h Healthtech Solvathon. Our team implemented 'Shedd', Tinder, Men's Shed and the Black Dog Institute together in one iOS application to implicitly address loneliness and depression in men. Front end development was completed using Swift, with custom graphics designed for the interface and pitch deck. Node.js, json and mongodb were utilised for the back end, with hosting provided by AWS.

LakeMacHack - Innovating Land, Sea, Air + Connectivity
Laughing Mind hosted LakeMacHack, a 24-hour Hackathon where our team implemented a Graph Library and Data Engine from scratch in order to generate a Single Destination Shortest Path Algorithm of the morning train commute from Newcastle to Sydney. Given the time frame, this competition stressed the importance of thorough research, planning, and impeccable solution execution.
