Written by Jean-Henri Fabre, a French naturalist, entomologist, and author. The Intelligent Woman's Guide to Socialism, Capitalism, Sovietism & Fascism in two volumes, 1937 Written by Bernard Shaw, an Irish playwright, critic, polemicist and political activist. History of the English People (Epilogue: 1895-1905, Book 2), 1939 Written by Élie Halévy, a French philosopher and historian who wrote studies of British history. An ABC of International Affair: The Penguin Political Dictionary, 1939 A Penguin Special. Compiled by Walter Theimer, a German scientist and non-fiction author. The Expanding Universe, 1940 Illustrated with two plates, collated complete. Written by Sir Arthur Eddington, an English astronomer, physicist, and mathematician. In the original paper wraps. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear and minor chipping to the extremities. Light fading to the boards. All volumes have original unclipped dust wrappers other than Ariel. Dust wrappers are also very smart with light chipping and the odd crease. Minor fading to the spine. Internally, generally firmly bound. Hinges starting but firm to a few volumes. Volume one textblock may detach from boards with further handling. Pages are very bright and clean with light age toning to the edges. Very Good
