Cara Santana Dishes on Wedding Details – and Says Fiancé Jesse Metcalfe Will 'Definitely Be Inputting'

Newly engagedCara Santana isn't in a rush to start planning her and fiancé Jesse Metcalfe's wedding.

"We're going to get married in September 2018, so I'm going to start planning this time next year," Santana told PEOPLE at the WEI Beauty Detoxifying Skincare Line luncheon hosted by Jaime King and Jamie Chung in Hollywood on Wednesday.

And although she hasn't started wedding planning just yet, Santana does have a few ideas in mind.

"Small, intimate, 80 people, Martha's Vineyard – call it a day," the actress-fashion blogger says of the couple's special day.



However, there are two details Santana admits she will be "very particular" about: food and accommodations.

"I want to make sure my guests enjoy," says Santana, "But anything else I'm like whatever."

But Santana won't be the only one planning the celebratory event. The 32-year-old says Metcalfe, 37, will also have a hand in some of the details.

"Every guy is like, 'No, No,' but Jesse has more opinions than whatever has the most opinions, so he'll definitely be inputting," shares Santana, adding Metcalfe "has great taste, so I'm happy."

And if the John Tucker Must Die star's ring choice is any indication, we're sure his wedding choices won't disappoint.

"He did a beautiful job," Santana says of her stunning engagement ring.

So has anything changed since Metcalfe popped the question last month?

"I think there's a sense of calm," says Santana, who's been with the Desperate Housewives actor for 10 years. "There's a sense of unspoken security that when you're not engaged maybe there's like an underlying uncertainty."

"Now that we're engaged I feel this total sense of calmness," she continues. "Like we'll get to the wedding. We've got the rest of our lives."
