Obituary for Richard Lin Crowe
Richard Lin Crowe, longtime Beggs resident, passed away on Tuesday evening, October 20, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was 63 years of age. He was born November 19, 1951 in Coweta, Oklahoma to Dick and Rita (Woods) Crowe. Richard married Cathy Tyler on April 21, 1972 in Beggs. He attended OSU-Tech and became a licensed machinist. Richard later drove a truck and then became a mechanic at American Airlines until retiring after 25 years of service. He was a member of the Transport Workers Union and a licensed reflexologist.
Richard was a very loving and caring man. He enjoyed riding horses and was affectionately known as the "brush hog man", with his passion for mowing. He could make a pasture look like a golf course.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Jerry Crowe and a sister, Patty Crowe.
Survivors include his wife, Cathy Crowe, of the home, his mother, Rita Crowe of Beggs, a daughter, Jami Carter and husband Brian of Sapulpa, a son, Randy Crowe of Tulsa, grandchildren, Madison and Dillon Carter and a sister, Alice Carol Bell of Mounds.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the Crossroads Baptist Church with Pastor Ted Noland officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
