KATHERINE MARIE FINN MILLEMAN , age 26

Temple, Texas

Katherine Marie FINN MILLEMAN, 26, of Temple, Texas died Saturday, September 2, 2006 upon impact in an automobile accident near Hamburg, Iowa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at 2 p.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Ames, Iowa with Father Everett Hemann presiding. Burial will follow in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Katherine was born to Timothy and Marilyn (SEALOCK) FINN on September 13, 1979 in Ames. She graduated from Ames High School in 1998. She earned a B.A. degree from Miami University of Ohio in 2002 and graduated with distinction from the University of Iowa Law School with a JD in 2005. She married John MILLEMAN in Des Moines on September 3, 2005.

Katherine was currently practicing law at Fulbright & Jaworski in the firm's health law litigation group in Austin, Texas.

Katie enjoyed creative writing, was an avid reader and loved to make her presence known on the dance floor. Her greatest joy in life was to be surrounded by friends and family.

Katherine was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Beta Phi sorority, Texas and Houston Bar Associations, Houston Young Lawyer's Association and the Greater Houston Society for Healthcare Risk Management.

Katherine is survived by her parents, Timothy and Marilyn FINN of Ames, Iowa; brother, Patrick FINN of New York City, New York; paternal grandmother, Helen M. FINN of Jefferson, Iowa; aunt, Joanne and Stephen GRAHAM of Seattle, Washington; uncles, Richard and Jill SEALOCK of Australia and Robert and Cecile SEALOCK of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; uncles, Michael FINN of Dallas, Texas and Christopher and Pam FINN of Liberty, Missouri; aunt, Mary FINN of Dallas, Texas; and nine cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Richard D. FINN; and maternal grandparents, Robert R. and Floy W. SEALOCK.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, beginning at 4 p.m. and concluding with a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Ames Education Foundation, or a memorial fund, which will benefit the academic interests of Katherine.

Stevens Memorial Chapel is assisting their families with arrangements.
