Born June 24, 1962 in Weirton, WV, he was the son of Bonnie (Moore) Lyons of New Cumberland and the late Donald Lyons Sr.
David was a 1980 graduate of Oak Glen High School. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was known as the ESPN-MAN for his love of sports.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Lyons.
In addition to his mother, surviving are a son, Mitchell Lyons of Oh., two daughters, Kara (Zack) Crusse and Becca Lyons of Oh.; a brother, Donald Lyons Jr. of Fl. ; two sisters, Diane (Nick) Orlando of FL; Darla (Mike) Minnis of KY; four nephews, Corey ,Noah, and Jacob Orlando and Andrew Minnis; and a niece, Chelsea Minnis
Visitation is from 4-8 pm. on Friday, at the Presbyterian Church of New Cumberland, WV, where funeral services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2021, at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in New Cumberland Cemetery.
