Yvette M. Gioiosa OBITUARY
BOSTON — Yvette M. (Boucher) Gioiosa, 69, of New Bedford died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, unexpectedly at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Anthony D. Gioiosa.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Ulderic and Denise (Gagnon) Boucher, she had lived in New Bedford for all of her life.
Mrs. Gioiosa was formerly employed as a sales clerk at Central Pharmacy for 22 years until her retirement. She had also worked at Ma's Donuts for the past several years.
She loved to travel and spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and golf matches.
Survivors include two children, Mark D. Gioiosa and his wife Kathleen of New Bedford and Marie Gioiosa Sweeney and her husband Peter of Mansfield; four brothers, Roger Boucher of Florida, Maurice Boucher of Pennsylvania, Claude Boucher of Las Vegas, and Donald Boucher of Germany; a sister, Germaine Jones of Enfield, CT; five grandson, Maxwell and Cameron Sweeney, Noah, Luke, and Jake Gioiosa; and nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Adrienne Rego, Beatrice Rioux, Conrad, Edgar, Adelard, Normand, and Roland Boucher.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 5-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
