James A. [Bud] Kisner, age 87 of Lincoln Street Ext., Grafton, West Virginia passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 at his residence. He was born in Grafton, WV on March 19, 1921, a son of the late Allen James Kisner and Ruby Pearl (Keener) Kisner. His wife, Thelma Kisner, passed away in September 1992. Mr. Kisner is survived by two sons, James Allen Kisner, Jr. and wife Elaine Kisner of Brunswick, Ohio and Ronald Wayne Kisner of Cleveland, Ohio; seven grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a close friend and companion, Mary Anna Koton of Grafton and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Knotts. Mr. Kisner was a production manager at Higbee's Department Store in Cleveland, Ohio for 36 years and was Staff Sergeant in the US Army serving during World War II. He was a member of the Grafton Lodge #15 AF&AM, 32 Degree Mason, Lodge of Perfection in Clarksburg, Scottish Rite Bodies of Wheeling, Naomi Chapter #12 OES, lifetime member of the VFW Memorial City Post #3081 of Grafton, and Taylor County Post #12 American Legion. He was protestant by faith. The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2008 and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James E. Martin officiating. Interment will be in the Bluemont Cemetery in Grafton. Masonic graveside services will be conducted by Grafton Lodge #15 AF&AM.
