The San Diego State track and field team wrapped up a successful meet at the UCSD Triton Invitational Saturday in La Jolla, Calif. The Aztecs finished with 13 top-10 finishes across eight events, including runner-up efforts by Micha Auzenne in the 100-meter hurdles and Lily Seynaeve in the 5K.

Auzenne took second out of 58 entrants in the 100 hurdles with a blazing time of 13.32 seconds. It the fastest by a collegian at the meet. Only Sirena Alise of Wes Williams Elite ran faster, clocking a time of 13.21. Auzenne also added a fourth-place showing in the open 100 in 11.74.

Seynaeve, meanwhile, came in second in the 5,000 in 17:51.36. That was a season-best time for the freshman.

Cassidy Towner (10:10.52) and Kristen Brown (13.36) each came in fourth in their respective event, Towner competing in the 3K and Brown in the 100 hurdles, while Bonnie Draxler led a group of four Aztecs in the invitational pole vault, clearing 13 feet, 2 ½ inches (4.03 meters). Holly Waseloff (10th), Kortney Ross (11th) and Karen Snapper (13th) each equaled Draxler's mark in the event.

Jazmen Bunch took sixth in the 100 in 11.86 and eighth in the 200 (24.81), while Tyra Lea was sixth in the 200 in 24.71 and Simone Glenn came in eighth in the 100 (12.02). Dynasty Gammage (2:13.41 in 800) and Elaine Ribeiro (4:36.86 in 1,500) each added ninth-place efforts in their respective event.

Jasmine Burrell also competed in the invitational shot put, logging a 16th-place finish with a heave of 48-09.50 (14.87m).

SDSU returns to action on May 9 at the Oxy Invitational.
