Well-designed and good sized room - bed was good. The hotel was located in the middle of the city.
As for me, the area was really noisy.

We got great bang for our buck at La Porte Dijeaux! The room was modern, clean, and had a super comfy bed. The location was unbeatable, right in the heart of everything, and the staff went above and beyond to be friendly and helpful.
More breakfast choices would make it even better, like having some cheese options.

The hotel was ideally located for the centre of the city.
The noise! My room was above bars that did not close until 1am. The windows to the room did not prevent the noise. When closed there was no ventilation.

I have never written a negative review but our 21st wedding anniversary was ruined because of this hotel. We booked a comfort room. I emailed the hotel the week before to say it was our wedding anniversary and we were looking forward to our stay. On arrival we were definitely NOT given a comfort room. It is now clear on their website that we were given the lesser standard room in the attic. The windows were rotten with the paint having come off and the windows would not shut properly. The shower smelt of damp and mould. We rang down to reception to ask to be moved. We were told we could be moved, hopefully, the next day to a comfort room so confirming we had not been given the room booked. The room was SO bad we could not stay. We went down to reception to express our upset and the lady then tried to say our room was a comfort room. It was not. We said unless they could provide us with the room booked we would have to leave and try and find another hotel. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful. On return I then realised that the hotel had taken from my "holding" bank card a fee of £100 despite the fault having been all their own and having given us a less superior room and having mis-sold the room to us. I have emailed the hotel to ask for a refund but even more disgustingly have not even had the courtesy of a reply. Absolutely shocking. In all my years of travelling I have never experienced such appalling service and mis-selling of a room. Do NOT BOOK this hotel.
Unfortunately there was nothing positive at all due to the hotels mis-selling of the room.
Everything as a con. Please read review above.

The hotel's location is unbeatable, being right in the center and next to everything. There are plenty of restaurants and bars just a stone's throw away, making it easy to grab a quick bite or enjoy a night out. The rooms are clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and a serene atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. Plus, the hotel offers discounted parking nearby, making it convenient for travelers with cars.
The breakfast 'formule' could use some improvement in terms of value for money.

The hotel was ideally situated for easy 10min walking access to local attractions and trams and ideal , 5min walk ,for bus stop from / to airport.
The bathroom and shower room were poorly set out with a peculiar shower/ wash basin area . We were told this was a superior room and not standard which is hard to believe . Breakfast was was served on the first floor landing / cupboard area which was very poor.

Lovely friendly staff and extremely convenient and wonderful old place. Well-designed and good-sized room with basic equipment and really lovely experience. Lots of facilities like: a TV, a hair dryer, and a balcony. Public parking nearby provided. Late check-out.

The hotel was excellent value, fairly clean. Very pleasant and affable staff, who gave us awesome suggestions. The setting was quite great and lovely within easy reach of a fine arts museum. Everything was spotless and met expectation...

the only good thing is the location
- we were placed in the Annex (not mentioned in the website that this option may exist) which is a street over and doesn't offer any of the advertised facilities- the room had a cigarette smell, we had asked for a nonsmoking room, the pillows are of lowest quality, the room resembles a room in a hostel, A/C set at a fix temperature, TV control faulty, windows dirty, no elevator etc.

straightforward place overall, it is fairly clean, location is good and fantastic in walking distance to shops restaurants etc. the staff are excellent and amiable, managed the parking nearby. make sure to get standard double room with fresh towels, toiletries, as for instance. thank you for a very lovely stay.

Fantastic location in the heart of the town, close to key attractions and tram service. The hotel offered great value for the price we paid. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, with a modern bathroom and ample amenities. There was a lovely bar/cafe right outside the hotel where we enjoyed drinks and the local ambiance.
The room needed some minor improvements, such as curtains that needed to be washed and thinner quilt/sheets for the spring/summer nights. We also got bitten by mosquitoes and wished there was an option for a quilt or sheet to cover us.

The staff were very welcoming and kind. They let us check in early, before the room was ready and carried out luggage up to the room while we we saw the sights and enjoyed lunch. The area is excellent for getting around and right in the middle of the shopping district. Its also very close to two tramways and a short walk to the river where there is a huge fun splash-fountain which everyone gets into when the weather gets warm.
We had a room with a bathroom, but not all of them do. However, it should be noted that the bathroom doesn't have doors so if you have to use the toilet you will need to ask your partner to leave the room - literally. Thankfully there is a coffee shop at the ground floor....

It was located close to a bus station giving access to many Bordeaux attractions.

The hotel is conveniently located right in the centre of the city, making it easy to access shops, bars, restaurants, and historical places to visit. The Gambetta square, a bustling area with a local café, is just a few steps away. You can immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the city right outside your doorstep.
The lack of air conditioning in the rooms can make it uncomfortable, especially during warm summer nights.
