Janice Dickinson was born February 16, 1955 in Brooklyn, New York. Dickinson started modeling in the early 70’s after winning a modeling content, and soon after moved to New York City. She had a different look than the standard blonde hair, blue eyed models of the day, allowing her to stand out, and became a very successful model in the 70’s and 80’s.
She has appeared on hundreds of magazine covers, and in editorials, including: Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Photo, Marie Claire, and Playboy.
