MARVIN, 89, of Warminster, former owner of Eastern Music System, an amazing father, grandfather and human being who touched the lives of many, died peacefully, surrounded and held by family in his home on Wed. Dec. 4. Marvin grew up in Kensington, the youngest of 7 children. After returning from England, where he was a radio tower operator during WWII, he married the love of this life Cecilia "Bubbles" Stein, a local girl from West Phila. He graduated from Wharton College and went on to own Eastern Music System, the business where he used to sweep floors when he was a youth. Marvin moved to Broomall in 1954 but maintained a close relationship with family and hosted many family gatherings. He was very active in the Jewish and was a generous contributor to many of the community organizations. Mayvin was lucky to be able to retire in his 50's and moved to Florida to live in a warmer climate. He was an avid tennis player and played regularly most of his life. He stayed active with Jewish Charities in Florida until he moved back to Phila. to be closer to his children. These last 3 years, Marvin was supported and cared for by Jane Callabar, a live-in aide who was a friend and became a beloved member of the family. Marvin is survived by sons Danny and Karl; daughter Susan; 11 grand-children and 19 great grand-children. His beloved wife and a second daughter predeceased him. Marvin's Funeral will be held at GOLDSTEINS' ROSENBERG'S RAPHAEL SACKS, 6410 N. Broad St. in Philadelphia at 10 A.M. on Friday December 6. Friends can call on December 6 from 3-7 P.M. at the home of Craig and Carol Kubanoff. Donations can be made in Marvin Stein's name to The Abington Hospice, Abington Health Fdn., 1200 Old York Rd., Abington, PA 19001 or Grandview Hospice, where his son Dan volunteers at: Grandview Hospice, 700 Lawn Ave., Sellersville, PA 18960.
