Emma Watson splits from former ‘Glee’ star Chord Overstreet

Emma Watson spent years brewing potions as young witch Hermione Granger in the “Harry Potter” films — and now she might just need one for herself.

She has split from her “Glee” star boyfriend Chord Overstreet following a six-month romance.

The couple met at the end of last year, shortly after her two-year relationship with Silicon Valley tech manager William Knight ended.

But her latest romance hasn’t lasted either and she made it clear she was done with Overstreet in a very 21st-century way — by unfollowing him on Instagram.

A source said: “Emma and Chord kept quiet about their relationship at first but they really hit it off.

“They spent a lot of time together in Los Angeles and were photographed quite a bit just a couple of months ago.

“But things just haven’t worked out between them and they are both now single again.”

Overstreet found fame in hit US television series “Glee” as Sam Evans from 2010 to 2015 and has since launched a music career.

Watson, who is currently on a break from acting, has also starred in a musical when she played Belle in the live-action version of “Beauty and the Beast” last year.

A spokesman for the actress refused to comment, but she has cut all her connections with Overstreet on social media.

Speaking about her love life last year, she said: “I want to be consistent: I can’t talk about my boyfriend in an interview and then expect people not to take paparazzi pictures of me walking around outside my home.

“I’ve noticed, in Hollywood, who you’re dating gets tied up into your film promotion and becomes part of the performance and the circus.

“I would hate anyone that I were with to feel like they were in any way part of a show or an act.”

With no movies to promote for the foreseeable future, there’s no risk of that happening.
