George Brandon Jr. joined Parkside Athletics as a Graduate Assistant Coach for Men's Basketball on Aug. 1, 2019.
Brandon graduated from Southern Illinois University in the spring of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science with a minor in coaching. While at SIU, Brandon served as the head manager for the men's basketball program. In his four seasons, his duties included on floor skill development of guards, assisting with scouting reports, helping with on-campus visits, working on film breakdown and coordinating team travel and meals.
An Evanston, Ill., native, George played his high school basketball at Niles North. Since his playing days, he has experience as a coach in AAU basketball with the Illinois Bears.
