Fun Fact About Yourself: I was an economic development Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine where I worked with regional banks to reestablish trust in the Ukrainian financial system in the region where I was placed.

What has been your first impression of the Tuck MBA students and alumni you’ve met so far. Tell us your best Tuck story so far. I love how athletic and outdoorsy everyone is, it makes it easy to focus and be productive in between trail runs, dips in the Connecticut River, tennis, and hockey.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Dartmouth Tuck’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? I was especially excited about the opportunity to work on a project that I’m passionate about as a first-year with all the resources Tuck offers through the First-Year Project.

What excites you the most about coming to live in Hanover? What is the one activity you can’t wait to do? I love the outdoors! I’m really excited to get in as many days of Nordic, alpine, and touring skiing as possible this year.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Dartmouth Tuck? I’m really excited to take a course with Emily Blanchard, the chief economist of the Department of State, whom I worked with prior to Tuck. She’s brilliant and passionate about the work she does. I would absolutely recommend any course she offers to any Tuck student who can fit it into their schedule.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I’m incredibly proud of the work I did at the Department of State supporting Ukraine in their fight against Russia. I was part of a team that combed through millions of import and export records to identify foreign actors that were helping Russia acquire sanctioned goods critical to forwarding military operations. It was rewarding to see analytical data work translate into making my friends and former host family in Ukraine a little bit safer.

What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)? I would love to be part of the economic redevelopment of Ukraine after they repel Russia’s invasion. Economic think tanks estimate that Russia has caused nearly $1 trillion of infrastructure damage to Ukraine. Through my MBA at Tuck, I hope to develop the technical financial skills, business acumen, and problem-solving toolkit that will allow me to make a positive impact on that massive challenge the global community faces.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Dartmouth Tuck’s MBA program? Find something that you’re legitimately passionate about and write something authentic that really represents who you are as a person.
