Bad Robot

David Baronoff is the founder of Bad Robot Games and currently acts as its Executive Vice President of Storytelling, where he oversees the studio's narrative strategy and execution. Baronoff joined J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions in 2006, where he began pursuing his passion for multimedia world-building and storytelling. He was a producer on films including Cloverfield, Star Trek, and Super 8, while simultaneously co-creating and producing digital and interactive marketing campaigns. He also produced augmented reality games (ARGs) for those projects, along with other Bad Robot films and TV shows, including award-winning campaigns and ARGs for Cloverfield and Super 8. David co-created Apple's App of the Year for 2011, Action Movie FX. In 2018, Abrams and Baronoff created Bad Robot Games (BRG), in a venture between Bad Robot Productions, Chinese video game publisher Tencent, and Warner Bros. Games. Bad Robot Games served as creative advisor on recently released projects including Weird West by WolfEye Studios, Moonbreaker by Unknown Worlds and Silent Hill: Ascension by Genvid Entertainment and Konami Digital Entertainment. BRG is currently developing an original, AAA title.
