We are proud to work with #teachers in a variety of ways - from connecting them with free supplies for hands on learning opportunities, to visiting their school to present our global mission to students, to coordinating volunteer opportunities at our headquarters where their students can see firsthand how we work.
Thank you teachers for all you do to educate and also inspire the next generation of global citizens!
To celebrate #NursesWeek we want to applaud the local nursing schools we’ve assisted in opening their doors to serve our community including the Health Careers Training Institute (HCTI) and Rise Nursing Institute!
HCTI was started by Michelle Young who reached out to SOS with the #hope of “empowering others to change lives”.
The Rise Nursing Institute LLC is a new program celebrating a ribbon cutting to open a training facility later this month.
We are so proud to empower and support #nurses to spread more #HealthandHope in the world.
Today is KY Gives Day! Even a $10 donation will support our work to redirect surplus medical supplies from landfills to help mothers and babies, unhoused neighbors, injured animals, individuals living with mobility challenges, and many others. www.kygives.org/organizations/sos... See MoreSee Less

Let’s hear three #CheersforVolunteers! Students from North Bullitt High School came to sort supplies and learn about the steps we take to reduce medical waste filling landfills and the global impact that can be made with the surplus equipment from our hospitals!
SOS would like to welcome our newest board member, Troy McCullum, President of Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering at UPS. Thank you to Troy and his UPS team for the #volunteerism!
#happymonday! Let's hear it for this incredible group from North Bullitt High School who volunteered at SOS last week. Their teachers receive supplies from SOS for hands-on training and medical education classes, and they wanted their students to see our process and where the supplies come from. They were especially happy to hear these learning tools were saved from landfills.
Hip Hip Hooray for #teacherappreciationweek!
