Elected in the European Parliament in 2019, Gilles Boyer (Horizons) has held a number of positions in French politics, working alongside Alain Juppé and the then Prime Minister, Édouard Philippe.
In the European Parliament, he is a full member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON) and the Subcommittee on Tax Matters (FISC), of which he is coordinator for the Renew Europe group. He is also Vice-Chair of the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT).
Gilles Boyer was the negotiator for his political group on the Directives on minimum taxation of multinationals and the fight against shell companies. He was recently appointed negotiator for Renew Europe on the BEFIT Directive introducing common rules for business taxation.
