Romeo Tanghal is better known as a comic book inker, but also worked as a storyboard artist and designer. Born in the Philippines, he is a self-taught artist. Shortly after high school, he began working as a comic book illustrator. He moved to the US in 1976, and on presenting his portfolio to D.C. Comics, was hired to work on the likes of Batman and Superman. During the 80s, he became involved in the animation industry as a designer and storyboard artist on The Transformers, Jem and the Holograms and G.I. Joe. Though his foray into animation was relatively brief because it separated him from his family, he continued his work in comic books though the 90s. More recently he has started self-publishing his own comic books under the title Sariling Atin Komiks.
