Back in May, retired basketball star Dwyane Wade made headlines for dyeing his hair red alongside his 13-year-old daughter, Zaya, who had just dyed her own hair a delicious shade of cotton candy pink at the time. Now, a mere few months later, Zaya is back with a brand-new, arguably even bolder hair color: bright blue.

Being the proud dad that he is, Dwyane Wade was the first person to show off Zaya's new look. The 38-year-old former Miami Heat player posted a priceless photo of his girl hanging out in the pool with her blue hair on Instagram, along with the caption: "Love wins 💙💙💙💙💙." The post has been up for less than a day and has already amassed more than 405,000 likes, as well as a laundry list of kind comments from fans, friends, and fellow celebrities alike.

While it's currently unclear who's responsible for Zaya's hair makeover, it's worth noting that it could potentially be family-friend and hairstylist, Larry Sims, who collaborated with Gabrielle Union — aka Wade's wife and Zaya's stepmom — on her former hair-care line, Flawless by Gabrielle Union. After all, the Los Angeles-based stylist did comment "#Simstyled 🌊" on Wade's Instagram post, which leads us to believe he may have been involved with the hair-color transformation.

On Saturday night, Zaya posted the same picture as Wade on her own account with the caption, "Happy feeling blue💙💅🏾🦋🐬," to which her brother Zaire commented, "Aqua." It goes without saying, but it's incredibly heartwarming to see Zaya — who is transgender and has known her true gender identity since she was three, according to Wade — staying true to herself. Rainbow hair colors included, of course.

Now we have to wonder: Will her dad follow in her footsteps again and dye his hair another fun color? You know we sure hope so.
