I love the fact no one realizes that Jaina solo Jacen solo and anakin solo are all in this set and that this set represents most of the plot of the new movie the force awakens and that is without a doubt. If you are lucky enough to act on buying any of these Dark Empire II series of 1-6 before December 16 you will have a great investment. I have been buying these up for 1 year and in a few days they will be worth a small fortune good luck.

Really well done, great voice acting, good quality entertainment that follows the comic series to the letter. Great sound effects and altogether, well executed. I really enjoy the entire series that Time Warner did, here.

Great condition for such an old used book, but as a collector, I do wish they hadn't used a paper sticker for the identifying label on the back. I can't get that thing off safely. but at least I finally have a copy of this again.

The struggle for mastery of the galaxy continues in this second installment of Dark Horse's Dark Empire graphic novel series. Although Leia Organa Solo and her twin brother Luke Skywalker defeated the clone of Emperor Palpatine, his minions, led by Warlord Sedriss, continue their campaign to wrest star systems away from the New Republic and back into the Imperial fold.
Even worse, the spirit-force of Palpatine still resonates even though it is disembodied, and although rebellious members of his own court have destroyed more of his clone bodies all the Emperor needs is one in which to take physical form. Knowing that he will really die forever without another body to inhabit, Palpatine sets his sights on Leia's third child, Anakin Solo. If he succeeds, Palpatine will achieve two of his most cherished goals: continued survival and revenge upon the man who betrayed him at Endor, Darth Vader.
Tom Veitch and Cam Kennedy return to dazzle Star Wars aficionados with their story and artwork in Dark Empire II. As in the best Expanded Universe novels, this creative team mixes classic Star Wars characters from the movies and meld them with a cast of new friends and foes, while enriching the "galaxy far, far away" with new worlds and exotic aliens. They even follow the trilogy's structure by making Dark Empire II a cliffhanger, making sure we readers looked forward to the concluding installment, Empire's End.

I remember it being a decent Graphic novel when I read it many years ago but I when listened to it on Audio CD it sounded like a truly infantile story. Suffice it to say I did not enjoy it.

It was a very good Comic. (Trade paperback) I bought the original 1994 edtion of Dark Empire 1 back in 1994 and really enjoyed it, and found Dark empire 2 and Empires end trade paperback ver really good too. Very nice trilogy. A bit cheesy in parts with the text, (using the same lines as in SW ep 4,5, and 6) but other than that very good. Always wondered when Kam first appeared. A good buy for any SW fan.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just awful :-(

Seriously the worst SW graphic novel I've ever read. The artwork is OK - though I think it might have worked better with a broader palate - but the writing is just embarrassing. After the Death Star is destroyed the Empire builds the... Galaxy Gun! Oh please! And Palpatine being brought back from the dead.. ugh. Veitch doesn't seem to really care for SW and seems happy to trash continuity. One to skip.
