Top review from the United States

This is truly a fabulous premise – in the future, a company has developed a virtual reality where you can actually enter the fantasy world. One of these worlds is called “Harsh Realm,” and it is totally unsupervised – anything goes. The consequences are dire and "game over" may actually spell death. Hard-boiled private investigator Dexter Green is hired to go find the son of a wealthy couple. The guy entered Harsh Realm and hasn't been heard from for months and Dexter enters the game to find him.
Hudnall (Lex Luthor : The Unauthorized Biography) spins a fantastic yarn that is sure to make any fan of heroic fantasy ecstatic. The art is fabulous, too. Think Lord of the Rings meets the Matrix!
Those in the know may remember that Chris Carter (the X-Files) adapted the comic book for a sorely under-appreciated television series in 1999. To its detriment, they removed almost all of the fantasy elements but kept the search for a lost man in Harsh Realm intact.
I read the other review on this page and had to post an opposite view becauseI loved the story and the art and regret that the comic book series didn't run longer. Perhaps a visionary television or film executive might decide to develop this wonderful story and reap the financial rewards!
