Everything about this comic is genius. However, I have a pretty strong criticism to Amazon in this one. Who in the world thought that placing a darn security sticker in a page of a graphic novel was a good idea?!? See pic to understand my rage.

I'd never read any of the Midnighter comics before, but I think this was a good place to start! I really enjoyed this volume- it was some of the best comics I've ever read! The action is great, the humor is perfect, and the panels are beautiful and inspiring. It's gritty and engaging and original, with plot twists I'd never have expected. Definitely recommend. My only problem was it ended too soon. I can't wait to read more Midnighter comics!
As for the order, it was great. It arrived quickly and there weren't any problems with shipping or anything, and I thought it was a very good price. 10/10 would buy again :D

As a fan of the original Ellis/Hitch Authortiy and someone less than enthused about DC's current output I had no idea what to expect from this, but after Midnighter showed up as a regular in the excellent Grayson series I decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did, because this is one of the better comics I've come across lately. If you're a fan of the original Wildstorm character you'll appreciate this take, which stays true to the original without being derivative.

As far as the comic and story itself, the best way I can describe it is it's like reading William Gibson writing superheroes. Crazy future ideas and a fair amount of grit on every page. And the art by Aco is absolutely gorgeous. Highly recommended.

I didn't know before I bought it, but Midnighter is a gay superhero. Basically, instead of sleeping with random women, he sleeps with random dudes. It's not over-the-top or in your face... he sleeps with dudes with the frequency that Nightwing sleeps with chicks so it's not even a weird thing.
That being said. It was about as confusing as the Grayson books. Which isn't bad... but I did feel "lost in the action" at times. Overall, it was a really fun book. I love midnighter's attitude, I love his "power", I think it's all VERY cool and while I sorta saw the ending coming... it still played out really well.
It would be a stretch to say it's the best comic DC has out now... but I will say it's one of the best. Definitely give it a try. I really look forward to seeing how this series continues. Will for SURE be buying volume 2

You might complain that the hero is never quite in a really perilous position in this volume, but he's too charismatic and this book is too fun to worry about that. The breaks start to hit in the next volume so enjoy this nonstop thrill ride by the baddest man in DC comics.

Primeiro volume da mini série de duas edições do Midnighter escrita pela nova estrela dos comics americanos, Steve Orlando. A arte é espetacular, principalmente nas edições desenhadas por ACO. É visceral e honesta. Personagem gay escrito sem estereótipos por um roteirista gay é algo a ser apreciado.

Midnighter é uma versão, eu diria, mais sincera do Batman. Admite ser ultraviolento e sem limites, com fetiche em couro, sádico e um lutador de primeira. É um personagem fascistóide e não tem problemas com isso. Com um computador no cérebro, consegue fazer leitura corporal do oponente e determinar uma estratégia de luta para vencê-lo antes mesmo de a luta começar. Sinceramente, o próprio Batman não teria muitas chances contra o Midnighter.

Acompanho o personagem desde a sua criação em Stormwatch, na época da Wildstorm, e devo dizer que essa é minha versão favorita.

O encadernado compila as edições 1-6 de uma série que foi uma das melhores da iniciativa DC YOU e da DC Entertainment nos últimos anos.

Midnighter........ What can I say about Midnighter other than he is amazing.

A character who loves his job of fighting bad guys, relishing every second of it. With a computer in his brain that helps him to calculate every possible outcome of a situation and deal with it accordingly it also comes very easy to Midnighter to fight the bad guys.

The problem for Midnighter is his everyday life, he just cannot cope with a normal life. And that is what makes Midnighter special, normal heros struggle with their superhero life but Midnighter is the other way around. Midnighter stands out as being a gay superhero but for me he is just a fantastically fun character to read who just happens to be gay.
