French pop singer and soloist of the smash stage musical Le Roi Soleil, Christophe Mai releases his US debut, MON PARADIS. Christophe (who learned to play the violin at age 6 and later began playing the guitar and harmonica at age 16 after he was immobilized by an illness) is known for the songs "Ca Marche" and "Et Vice Versailles". His main inspiration is Stevie Wonder, however other musical influences include Bob Marley, Ben Harper, Tracy Chapman and Jack Johnson.

I just recently found out about Christophe Mae, and I have to say that I could listen to his music for hours. He sounds amazing, his lyrics are wonderful, and I really can't recommend him enough. I have three of his cds, and I love them all.

Just got back from Paris where I saw Christophe's video for "Et ce te vois" on the NRJ music channel. However this song is not on any of his current albums (you can see it on his website though). Regardless, "Mon Paradis" is a great album blending folk, reggae, and pop. And it's so French!
Ein wie gewohnt schönes Album von dem Künstler, das ich durchaus weiter empfehlen kann! Und das, obwohl das ein oder andere Lied auch auf der nachfolgenden CD von ihm zu finden ist.
