Serving multiple locations, color coding my calendar is essential to my organization...and being able to make changes on my paper calendar is also a must. When I first tried erasable pens a couple of years ago, I tried another brand which was ok, BUT these FriXion pens are the BEST! I simply won't go back to the other brand because these erase so well and write so smoothly. The colors are vibrant and are exactly what I need for my color coded organizing. I like them so much, I've even gifted them to my interns each year!

I love these pens so much. They are a huge help in college, and I am constantly using them.
They erase well, and for me, the ink lasts almost a full semester of taking notes (if you alternate colors and don’t use the same color every day). The only downside is they sometimes smudge if you’re not careful to let the ink dry all the way. Other than that, I think they are great pens, and I will likely be using them throughout my future years of college.

These pens are perfect for the mechanical field drawings I create on the job. I wish I'd known about them sooner. That said, they are far from perfect.
Pros:
-The ink erases!! And it erases clean with no eraser dust.
Understand, it doesn't erase as much as it disappears. The hard rubber eraser does not wear or produce any dust. It produces heat that makes the ink disappear. If you want to erase a large area, you can use a lighter and wave the flame over the it. That works great. If you use these, you must understand this is magical, heat sensitive ink.
-These pens are really cheap, especially for what they do. The price offsets many of the cons. If a pen fails me, I just buy more pens and/or refills.
-Did I mention, this ink will ERASE??!!! This is truly awesome.

Cons:
-Often times a new pen will smear, or just flow too much ink until it kind of breaks in. But sometimes, a pen I've been using a while will do that also.
-It can take a few seconds for the ink to dry.
-Some pens will stop working at any moment when they have not run out of ink.
-They do go through ink quickly. See above, just buy more pens and refills.
-It's oftentimes nearly impossible to draw a new line over a line I've erased. The ink that disappeared remains behind as a kind of barrier.
-Sometimes the erased ink leaves a muddy looking smudge behind while it usually erases clean
-These are not for permanent, archival writing. Leave your written page in the hot sun and it will fade. I would not expect this ink to last for years

I bought these because I do sudoku puzzles regularly. I had started doing them in regular gel pens but there wasn’t much room for error, so I switched to using a pencil. That got boring pretty quickly… so I searched the Amazon looking for something with erasable color and voila! I chose these pens because I knew the brand was reliable. I’m glad I did!
The ink color is not very vivid, but I imagine that’s got to be why it erases so easily. The eraser is like a plastic rubbery material - and it’s very effective. It also doesn’t produce little flakes (idk what to call it) after you erase something in pencil - these pens leave nothing behind.
Bottom line: I’d absolutely recommend them.

Love, love, love these pens! I now recommend these to students every year for those that are tired of sharpening pencils or running out of lead for their mechanical pencils. These were a game changer for me when I came across them. I use them every day in class for guided student notes. The navy blue and purple colors are my favorite as they make a nice contrast to the black text in our math books when projected on the overhead projector with a document camera. They erase very easily(even better than most pencils) and don’t bleed through the page like others that I’ve used such as felt tip pens and papermate ink joy pens. I’ve been using them consistently for about four years now. I’d recommend them to anyone because I feel all the pros of these pens definitely outweigh the cons, but to be fair, here are some of the quirks I’ve noticed about these pens that buyers should know:

-they will only last half the lifespan of a regular pen. Buy the refills on Amazon to save money.

-the ink will fade or disappear if exposed to heat, so don’t leave your notebook in a hot car. I once tried to laminate an answer key for my algebra students that I had created using these pens, and the heat from the machine made the ink completely disappear. Lesson learned.

-the ink does fade a bit over time. I save my answer keys from year to year and find that some have slightly faded ink. They’re still usable, but you can definitely tell the difference. I wouldn’t use these pens to archive something important.

-every once in a while there is a pen that stops working before it’s out of ink for no apparent reason. I probably go through roughly five packs of these per school year(approximately 35 pens) and this happens at least 2-3 times.

-I can’t grade any tests with these. I normally wouldn’t have used them anyways because I wouldn’t put it past my students to erase or doctor their scores, but I did use them accidentally once. Sure enough, I had two students try to convince me of a grading error. They tried to erase the comments I wrote on some questions, then redid them before trying to make their case. Little did they know, when you freeze the papers, the ink that was erased would reappear. Joke was on them at that point. They got zeros and detention.

As stated earlier, even with the quirks these pens have, they are still the best ones I’ve ever tried for the classroom. Highly recommend.

I recently found myself in a situation where I couldn't locate my favorite frixion erasable pen at my local store, so I decided to try an alternative. I use erasable pens exclusively for my erasable notebook, and I must say, the substitute brand left me feeling quite disappointed.

Los bolígrafos no vienen en un paquete como el de la foto. Creo que es engañoso poner esa imagen. En otra ocasión yo había comprado un pack de estos bolígrafos ( no en el mismo proveedor) y sí venían en un estuche.
A posteriori he visto que en las valoraciones ya se indicaba esto. Y que en la descripción pone paquete de 1; sin embargo no está nada claro. Ha sido una decepción pues mi objetivo principal era que estuviesen en un estuche.

So Pilot generally makes good products with regards to pens and pencils and this one is no exception in my opinion. The colors are nice and the erasable pens do erase but how well depends on who you ask. I prefer 0.7's over the imo scratchy and often inconsistent ink flow 0.5's. These pens are 0.7 so there is that to take into consideration.

Erasing normally over the same place again and again causes bits of the paper to roll up into rolls like eraser particles and the ink may not be fully gone. For clarification these particles are off the paper, not the solid eraser on the tip of the pen. Even in cases where the color is gone, there is still a shiny line of the words that were written. This is however only able to be seen at a certain angle.

Taking a hair dryer to the ink is quite effective if you want to erase large patches at once. It doesn't cause the paper to roll up from over erasing the same spot (which can sometimes happen with poor quality erasers too) . However, this method still leaves the shiny lines which isn't really a big deal except that too many lines result in you not being able to write over the area without having to dig in a bit.

The main caveat of using a pen over a pencil make their appearance in being how the pen digs into the paper. This isn't really a problem with the product, just the behavior of pens in general. The good thing about these pens is you don't have to press hard to get the ink flowing which is very nice. Pilot pens in general perform very well in this regard especially the G2 series and this one doesn't disappoint. You can avoid digging into the paper if you want to.

The grip and comfort of the pen isn't something that is usually talked about but I feel it deserves a mention here. Not because the lack of it's quality but more of other pens should probably take notes. The part where your fingers grip the pen doesn't slip and move around which is should be standard but far to many other pens grip come loose. So points there.

The grip itself is hard and some may prefer a softer feel that you can press into so just take not of that. The body of the pen is solid smooth plastic though you certainly can break it if you want to. There aren't any hard edges that may dig into your skin if you grip the pen hard. The only thing to take note off is the "clicker" is part of the part where you clip the pen to things. It will move around slightly with force in comparison to no movement on a fixed position clip but it doesn't rattle and hasn't caused any problems for me.

Overall I find these pens to be a better alternative than pencils (mechanical or otherwise), you should probably give 1 or 2 a try before buying a full set only to find out they're not the product for you. A hair dryer is handy if you want to preserve your paper and/or erase large swaths at a time. Would recommend.
