In Loving Memory of Dennis Raymond Jensen

Dennis Raymond Jensen, aged 86, of Mokena, IL, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024. Born on March 3, 1937, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Iva and Raymond Jensen. Dennis was a loving husband, father, and Popeye to his five grandchildren. His favorite moments were spent planting pollinator gardens, building outdoor spaces, watching his grandchildren do silly dances, and spending time with his loving wife, Barbara.

A respected psychologist and esteemed founding doctor of Suburban Heights Medical Center, Dennis dedicated his life to the well-being of others. His compassion and wise counsel will be remembered by all the lives he touched.

Dennis's memory will be treasured by his beloved wife, Barbara, and his children, Michael (Susan), Eric, Christopher (Lisa), and Melissa (Steven). His spirit lives on in his five grandchildren, Jack, Alec, Mia, Ian, and Bella. Preceding him in death were his parents and his brothers, Terry and Steven Jensen.

An alumnus of William Howard Taft High School, Dennis furthered his education at Michigan State, Bradley University, and North Park University. His formative years were spent at Edgebrook School, where his love for learning took root.

A private ceremony to honor and celebrate Dennis's life will be held by his immediate family in Door County, WI, this summer.

Dennis's legacy of kindness, wisdom, and love will live on in the hearts of his family and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
