Biography: Blaustein worked as a writer, artist, editor, and in business level support in the comic book industry.
She worked at Marvel Comics from 1985 to 1990, including support work as editor from 1986 to 1987 and as manufacturing coordinator from 1988 until an unknown date. From 1991 to 1992, Blaustein worked for DC Comics and then, from 1994 to 1996, for the DC imprint, Milestone Press.
For the Milestone mini-series, Deathwish (DC, 1994 series), Blaustein created the transgendered police officer, Marissa Rahm.
After her comic book career, Blaustein worked as an animation director and creative director for the Weekly World News (American Media, 1979 series), dates unknown. Then she began a career as a voice actress for a number of animated cartoons. Starting in 2004, she worked as a 3-D animator for the Second Life platform.
During her life, Blaustein was an activist in the transgender community.
