A young boy during one of the most pivotal moments in history was about to embark on a journey that changed the course of photography. Lucien Clergue was a French photographer who took a different approach on imagery through the lens. He captured death in it's most intimate moment, he analyzed women in the nude as a landscape of beauty and femininity. He kept the pride of his roots local and captured the intensity of bullfighting.

This allowed him to develop an amazing partnership and friendship with another famous artist: Pablo Piccasso. Pablo introduced Clergue into a world of different art forms allowing him to collaborate with amazing artist such as Jean Cocteau and Max Ernst. Clergue's work transformed photography in new directions by applying shadows and light to depict the image.

Genre of art or artistic movement that encompasses, drawing, painting and some other graphic media where an artist carefully studies and understands an image in photograph then attempts to reproduce it in another medium realistically as much as possible.
