Is that you, Chris? Mr O'Donnell, 44, is almost unrecognizable in everyday clothes as he makes rare appearance off the set of NCIS: Los Angeles

He plays a buff special agent on NCIS: Los Angeles.

But tired-looking Chris O'Donnell was unrecognizable after dinner at The Palm in Beverly Hills with his wife Caroline Fentress on Friday night.

The 44-year-old looked a far cry from his NCIS character thanks to his budding five o'clock shadow during a rare appearance off the set of his show.

Chris appeared relaxed as he led the way for his stunning wife of 18 years.

His other half trailed close behind while squeezed into rolled up blue jeans that exposed her sexy black heels.

The brunette beauty unveiled her wild side with an animal print blouse, which she paired with a black sweater and colourful bracelet.

No doubt Chris was in the mood to relax and unwind after what has proven to be a bustling month.

Earlier in March, the actor was honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

The journey to the prestigious Walk Of Fame began when Chris was cast in 1990's Men Don't Leave, a role he struggled to accept when he realized it had the potential to conflict with college.

He told Variety: 'I got a call from David Rubin, the casting director (of Men Don't Leave), and he said, "You've got the part." And I couldn’t believe it. He says it's going to film from July to October. And I sat there thinking, "Oh my God. I'm going to miss college."

'And I actually said, "Let me call you back." Because this was a huge decision. I loved acting, but I was so excited to go to college.'

Luckily for Chris, the actor was able to begin classes at Boston College shortly after wrapping Men Don't Leave.

The father-of-five, who ultimately obtained a degree in marketing, was joined by his family and NCIS cast mates when he was presented with the star on March 5.
