Who can forget Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's dreamy wedding in Tuscany, Italy, in 2017? The two took wedding wows in an intimate ceremony, and the pictures of the couple's nuptials had fans enchanted. Sharma's outfits looked straight out of a fairytale, all thanks to Sabyasachi Mukherjee. For her Mehendi ceremony, the actor opted for a graphic lehenga in fuchsia pink and Indian orange. She accessorized with jhumkas, and completed her look with juttis.

For the engagement, Sharma wore a velvet saree and complemented it with a diamond and pearl choker. Talking about the
wedding lehenga, Mukherjee had said, "Anushka was to get married in Florence, and her lehenga just had to fit in. We chose a color that would blend in the whimsical Tuscan surrounding rather than stand out. It was blushed pink with tropical flora and fauna, hand-embroidered in silk floss. Exotic birds and butterflies were rendered with the finest quality needlecraft. The Renaissance embroidery in vintage English colors embellished with silver-gold metal thread, pearls and beads."

He added," To complement her lehenga, jadau jewellery was handcrafted with syndicate uncut diamonds, pale pink spinel and baroque Japanese cultured pearls. But we think the hero is the lush Tuscan hydrangeas! There is something so ethereal about brides wearing fresh flowers in their hair! It is a crowning glory!”

Tip: Sharma's accessories work perfectly well with wedding dresses in bright hues too.

The wedding took place according to Konkani and Sindhi customs, and only had family and a few friends in attendance. Days later, the two released official wedding pictures and set social media on fire. For the Konkani ceremony, Padukone picked a traditional red South Indian sari selected by her mother for the marriage ceremony (as per Konkani custom) from Angadi Galleria, a well-respected and hallowed handloom destination from her hometown.

The Sindhi one, she went for a unique red lehenga, hand-embroidered with golden tilla details. This was paired with a chowki design aari-taari dupatta, complete with a heavy border with the age-old saying 'Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava' written on it in Devnagri. 'Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava' is considered a blessing to newlyweds, which translates to 'may you forever be married.' The
Mehendi ceremony had the actress taking the pastel route. She styled her refreshing ensemble with heavy jewellery; wouldn't be incorrect to say that she made for a stunning bride.

For the former, Chopra wore a custom Ralph Lauren gown which took over 1,826 hours to complete. "Hope" and "compassion" were woven into the lengths, along with "Om Namah Shivaya", and the date of the ceremony. The groom's full name, Nicholas Jerry Jonas, at the front of the coat was mirrored on the back by the names of her parents. The word "family" featured on the right sleeve and, "love" was stitched over her heart in the ivory thread.

Talking about her Hindu wedding ceremony lehenga, designer Sabyasachi wrote, “Priyanka Chopra @priyankachopra makes for a stunning bride in a custom red Sabyasachi lehenga. Hand-embroidered and hand-cut organza flowers, French knots in silk floss, delicate Siam-red crystals and layer upon layer of threadwork embroidery creates this piece of impossible couture. 110 embroiderers from Calcutta, India took 3720 hours to create this modern masterpiece. As an ode to the resplendence of Mughal jewellery, her wedding jewellery was crafted with uncut diamonds, emeralds and Japanese cultured pearls in 22 karat gold and had delicate tiny stars in uncut diamonds to give a sense of whimsy to an important traditional piece.”
