Rate this book
Janet Van Dyne is dead. She was the only important casualty in the Skrull invasion, at least to those who love her most. She may be gone, but she will never be forgotten by her friends, comrade in arms, fellow Avengers. But no one is more devastated by her death than Hank Pym, her husband, who returned to Earth just to realize that he lost Janet forever. Witness the birth of a new Wasp, as Hank Pym adopts the super hero identity of the woman he loved.

Hank Pym becomes The Wasp to honour Janet. Also we see their first meeting, and the classic Court Martial Avengers issue, where he famously hits Janet, which in many ways is the one image people always associate with Hank...

It felt a little too focused on Hank, but at the same time the first story is actually my favorite of the bunch

I got this comic in a mystery bag of comics on Free Comic Book Day 2016 from my local comic book store. I really enjoyed this one. It's a lengthier comic and I really didn't know anything about Ant-Man or Wasp (I haven't seen the latest movie yet), so this was a really nice introduction for me to Ant-Man's story, but it was surprising because I was given a spoiler that I wasn't expecting...but that doesn't bother me because without this I would know nothing about Ant-Man and I wouldn't be so intrigued to read more of his adventures with the Wasp. Definitely a worthwhile comic for me.
