About
Open since the Revolution, this museum is one of the oldest museums in France. Its typical Toulouse architecture offers an exceptional setting for paintings and sculptures dating from the Middle Ages to 1914.
The cloister of the convent, ideal for strolling, serves rooms where more than 4,000 pieces are exhibited, including real masterpieces, such as the capital of the martyr of Saint-Jean-Baptiste or Nôtre-Dame-de-Grasse for sculptures.
Not to be missed: the installation of contemporary artist Jorge Pardo in the Romanesque Sculpture Room highlights this exceptional collection.
The temporary exhibitions are always of high quality.
