Alfonso Greene studied at the High School of Industrial Arts in New York City. In the 1940s, he illustrated several features for Quality Comics and Eastern Color Printing, and drew 'Black Pirate' and 'Wonder Women of History' for National/DC. In the 1950s he was present at Atlas/Marvel with back-up features in Western Kid, Kid Colt Outlaw, Two-Gun Kid and Wyatt Earp. He was also present in titles like Journey Into Mystery, Marines in Battle, Mystic, Strange Tales and World of Fantasy. In addition, his art appeared in Gilberton's The World Around Us.
