Carol Moiseiwitsch is an artist and social activist from Vancouver. She was born in London where she studied painting at St. Martin's Central. She settled in Vancouver, Canada in the 1980s to teach at the Emily College of Art and Design. She has drawn creepy stories for Real Stuff by Fantagraphics and her work has also appeared in the Drawn & Quarterly anthologies.
Moiseiwitch dedicates herself to the rehabilitation of people with mental and drug addiction difficulties in the city centre, the poorest and most degenerated urban area in Canada. Her activist activies have lead to trips to the Middle East, North Africa and to the Palestinian territories under Israeli occupation, which was the inspiration for her comic story 'This Is A True Story'.
