Jeff Purves was born in Okinawa, Japan in 1961. After moving around the States, the Purves family finally settled in Cheyenne, Wyoming at Warren Air Force Base. After winning a scholarship for art in Cheyenne, Jeff attended Laramie County Community College and majored in art history. He then applied to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California and also attended the Art Center. While studying, Purves got a job at Marvel Productions in California doing storyboard cleanup. This began his career in animation which has lasted to this day working for such studios as Warner Brothers, Walt Disney, Hanna Barbara, Marvel Productions, and Filmation.
As a comic artist, Purves was assigned to a run on 'The Incredible Hulk' with Peter David. Purves worked on 'The Hulk' for nineteen issues and then moved on to other artistic fields. Throughout the years, Jeff has worked on countless projects from films to T.V. shows to designing pavilions and theme parks to book illustrations and so on.
