Tony Salmons is a comic book artist, film storyboard artist and character designer. He was born in Rolla, Missouri, has lived on several locations since and is now living and working in Los Angeles. He began his career in 1983 drawing 'Dragon's Teeth' for Dragon's Teeth Productions. He then went to Marvel Comics, where he illustrated for for titles like 'Dakota North', 'G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero', 'Marvel Fanfare', 'Savage Sword of Conan', among others. He was also present at Dark Horse with 'The Mark' and at First Comics with 'Jon Sable Freelance'.

Later, he turned to DC, where he has worked on a couple of 'Batman' titles, as well as 'Vigilante: City Lights, Prairie Justice' under the Vertigo imprint. Salmons has furthermore contributed to the British Fleetway's Crisis and 2000 AD magazines, as well as Penthouse Comix and National Lampoon. In 2006 he was present at IDW with 'Doomed' and in 2008, he was one of the artists for 'The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft' at Image Comics. His TV credits include 'Batman: The Animated Series' for Warner Bros and 'Æon Flux' for MTV.
