Ted is the founding partner of Rosen Thompson Rosen.  His practice focuses on two areas: civil litigation and family law. 

Ted has significant experience in representing clients involved in a variety of commercial litigation matters and business disputes.  Over the past three decades of practice, Ted has represented clients in intra-company disputes, including the dissolution of partnerships, limited liability companies and other closely-held entities, as well as in breach of contract claims, and employment-related matters.  Ted’s clients range from individuals to corporate entities such as national financial institutions and Silicon Valley-based technology companies.

Ted’s expertise in civil litigation enables him to bring a unique perspective to high-asset dissolution of marriage cases. The issues that are presented when assessing how to fairly resolve financial matters surrounding family businesses, ownership interests in closely held enterprises, and the like require a business-minded approach.  Ted has extensive experience in obtaining superior results for clients addressing these circumstances.

The types of challenges Ted’s family law clients  face regularly include the allocation of assets and debts, spousal maintenance, child support, as well as parenting issues that arise when there are children involved.  Ted has successfully litigated many relocation cases, as well as post-decree actions to modify maintenance and child support. 

Ted’s philosophy when approaching a family law case is to do what is necessary to best protect the interests of his client. Although Ted is a trained litigator and always prepared to go to court when necessary, he believes there is a significant value to meaningful negotiation and has had great success in resolving disputes outside the courtroom.     

He also has decades of experience negotiating and preparing both pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements. 

Ted began his career in New York City with the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell, LLP, after clerking for Justice William H. Erickson of the Colorado Supreme Court.  He is a member of the Colorado and Denver Bar Associations, and has been admitted to both the Bar of the State of Colorado and the Bar of the State of New York.  Since 2000, Ted has received the highest ratings from the judiciary for both his Legal Ability and Ethical standards, as reported by Martindale-Hubbell, the premier peer-rating organization for attorneys nationwide.  Ted has and continues to serve on a variety of volunteer boards throughout the Denver community.
