The show will immerse you into an extraterrestrial scenery transcending all conventional art boundaries by combining Swizz Beatz' sonic soundscapes and Arne Quinze's large-scale sculptures. Arne Quinze is thrilled to announce his collaboration with award-winning music producer Swizz Beatz on an extraordinary exhibition titled ‘Are We The Aliens_’ during the Venice Biennale 2024. The immersive exhibition will be hosted at the unique Campo San Francesco church with renowned curators Hervé Mikaeloff and Reiner Opoku, with support from the Ludwig Museum - Museum of Contemporary Art, Germany, Skira Arte Artbook Publishers, artistic director and writer Shai Baitel, and meteoritics' researcher J O C H E N L E Ë N, and collaborations with renowned Berengo Studio 1989 for glasswork and Belgian ATELIER VIERKANT for ceramics. Lupine Flower, an artwork referring to Quinze’s deep and enduring connection with the Wild Lupine Flower, is now permanently on view at Brookfield Properties in the financial district of London. The artist often encountered the exceptionally vibrant and vigorous wildflower during his many travels and made it his signature and his ally in the pursuit for a more diverse society as the flower, vulnerable to the impacts of monoculture, thrives in polycultural environments yet withers in the presence of monocropping. Quinze captures the complex relationship between strength and vulnerability, the very dynamics that have birthed the amazing diversity we see around us. The artist often views himself as an archivist, responsible for preserving this diversity. Last week, Arne Quinze took part in the Love Tomorrow Conference at Tomorrowland and got the opportunity to talk about Retopia.world, a reforestation program in Brazil. Together with Retopia, Quinze wants to replant the Atlantic Forest as more than 85% has been deforested.
