Navigating through the GMAT can be challenging, and not all top schools require it. At MiMprep, we’re spotlighting programs that don’t mandate a GMAT score: 1️⃣ IE: Located in Madrid, this one-year program is known for its diverse international cohort and a focus on practical, hands-on learning. While it does require an IE GAT, it is significantly less demanding than the GMAT and requires much less preparation—making it an attractive alternative for many students. 2️⃣ ESCP: This school presents a simpler route for those daunted by the GMAT. ESCP offers an SHL test option for students who completed previous studies outside of France, which is generally considered less demanding and requires less preparation. With campuses in Berlin, London, Madrid, and Turin, ESCP also provides exciting prospects for those aiming to work in France. 3️⃣ Imperial College Business School: For Imperial’s MiM, don’t fret if you’re from a non-business background like politics or history. Interested in their MSc Finance program? The GMAT isn’t mandatory, but a well-balanced GMAT score (650 or higher) can strengthen your application. Solid grades in quantitative modules are also crucial. Turning to specialized Masters, two noteworthy programs focused on sustainability: 4️⃣ HEC Paris: The Master in Sustainability and Social Innovation program allows you to delve into these crucial topics, backed by the prestige of the HEC brand. 5️⃣ ESSEC: The MSc in Sustainability Transformation program is another gem. ESSEC’s sustainability department arguably outshines others, despite overall brand recognition that might not rival HEC’s. These specialized masters offer an exceptional opportunity to leverage the school’s brand name, particularly for those looking to pursue careers related to sustainability. 6 things that got me a 100% scholarship from a top b-school in France ⬇ When I applied to ESCP Business School for their well-regarded Master in Management (MiM) program a few years ago, I had doubts of even being accepted, let alone a 100% Merit Scholarship! Looking back, I can connect the dots and share what helped me get it ⬇ 1️⃣ Applying early: I applied in the second round, which is still relatively early. From Round 3 onwards, scholarships become scarce. 2️⃣ Clear long-term goals: I made it crystal clear in my essays that I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Nothing about management consulting or investment banking, which is written by most in the absence of clear goals. 3️⃣ School Fit: My essays went into great detail about why ESCP Business School was the perfect school for me. How? In-depth research. 4️⃣ Extracurriculars: Top business schools do not want all their students to have the same background. I skipped the obvious stuff and rather spent time on what made my application unique. 5️⃣ Academics: Even though I had an average GPA, I dedicated more time to my GMAT and achieved a higher-than-average score for ESCP (after two attempts!) to balance my GPA. 6️⃣ Strong recommendations: I got professors to recommend me who had observed me closely inside and outside the classroom and could speak to my suitability for the MiM program. Nailing these 6 criteria alone will not ensure that you get a scholarship. All essential parts of your application have to come together perfectly. #admitx #scholarships
