Biography: Roberto Carlos is Brazilian footballer who is widely considered one of the greatest left-backs in the history of the sport. He rose to prominence in the 1990s, playing for prestigious clubs such as Palmeiras, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid.

Carlos made his debut for the Brazilian national team in 1992. Over the course of his international career, he earned 125 caps and scored 11 goals, making him one of the most capped Brazilian players of all time.

He played a pivotal role in Brazil's victorious 2002 FIFA World Cup campaign. Carlos' powerful free kicks, pinpoint crosses, and tenacious defending were instrumental in securing Brazil's fifth World Cup title.

During his time at Real Madrid (1996-2007), Roberto Carlos won numerous domestic and international titles, including four La Liga championships and three UEFA Champions League trophies.
